Had a few Braun toothbrushes over the years. This stand is much better to keep clean. I did not like the previous holder for the toothbrush as it was awkward to clean and I felt not so hygenic. Not sure the battery life is as long as my previous model. The toothbrush is used four times a day on average and lasts about 5 days. I would recommend it as good value (I paid half retail price with Amazon)and think it is excellent for keeping the teeth clean!
